Itinerary
From Leh, start in the morning in a Tata Sumo. When you reach Stok, the pony man will load the bags you are carrying on the horses as they have been waiting for you. Now, we start for anMcarmo, we pass a very beautiful valley, where the scene is quite unusual. For Stok villagers, Mancarmo is a summer pasture.
We move higher now to an isolated place. Here you will only fine marmots and sheep. The area is fully surrounded by the mountains, this will make sure you are physically prepared for the next day.
We will have to leave at around 2 am, provided the weather allows us to. The weather is good at that time mostly and also the snow will be hard enough for you to walk. Have a cup of tea and then take your bags and leave. Take your torches as well. But, if it is a full moon day, then moon will also help you in finding the way. The walk will be very tiring. We will use ice axes and crampons and also rope, it depends on the condition of the weather. By the time you reach the top, you will not be remembering any of the hardships that you faced as you will get to see beautiful views all around you. If the weather is good, you can also see Saser group. After that we leave for Khartag. Then later we leave for the base camp and until the time we reach there, we are only thinking about taking rest now.
After having breakfast, walk back to Stok.
