Rangdum-Kanji-Hanupatta
Highlights
To reach the starting point you have to go a long way, but the path is very off the beaten track and very less traveled until the crossroads from Padum to Lamayuru before Hanupatta. There are many rivers to cross with a very beautiful trek.
Itinerary
Move along the track towards the Rangdumgompa from Juldon. On moving up the river Kanji Nullah through the narrow up and down the road, you will find yourself standing in the front of a narrow gorge. Here, you will find a good campsite at about 4.150 m (13.615 ft) after a few river crossings.
Walk half hour from the left of gorge to reach the pass Kanji-La 5.270 m (17.060 ft). From the pass, taking the fallen rocks route, you will be able to find your way downhill.
