Likir To Kalse

By a jeep from Leh, you will reach a small village on a tributary of Indus named Likir 3.500 m (11.480 ft) which is a spread out village. On following the jeep path, climb to first pass Pobe-La 3.550 m (11.650 ft). After climbing the next pass Charatse-La 3.650 m (11.980 ft), you will descend towards a village named Yangtang 3.600 m (11.810 ft) which will offer great views of Zanskar village.

On crossing the village, the first pass you will come across is the Sarmanchan-La 3.750 m (12.300 ft) which will offer view of the tranquil village of Hemis-Shukpachu (3.600 m). Relax here before you climb the next pass Meptek-La 3.750 m (12.300 ft). From the summit of this pass you will have to take a half hour descent towards the beautiful village of Ang 3.400 m (11.160 ft).

On heading towards the south of Village Ang, you will be able to locate the most prosperous village of trek named Temisgam (3.200 m). From here once you start, in a few hours you will reach the road connecting Leh with Srinagar, an hour’s walk from where will lead you to Khalse where the cars would be waiting for you.
